I was inspired by King Crimson to use different, more complex time signatures for my songs, including this one. I was especially inspired the song "Starless," whose middle section is in 13/4 and 13/8, which inspired me to make a song in 13/8. I'm quite proud of the complexity of this song, as it was one of the earlier songs I made that uses more complex time signatures outside of 4/4, 5/4 and 6/4.
